Double Blue Success at Thrapston Fatstock Show
A British Blue x steer from Richard & Judy Fountaine, took the Championship
at Thrapston Fatstock Show, with the reserve a British Blue x heifer from
James Mills.
Truro Primestock Show
The Championship at Truro Primestock Show was won by Ross
Withers with a Limousin x British Blue, who weighed in at 576kg and sold
for £4.50pkg
to Kendle Bray of Carnon Downs Butchery, Near Truro.
Ross also secured Reserve Champion with an Angus steer out of a pure British
Blue Cow, Trencrom Amazing Grace, who was purchased from David & Gail
Ellis. The steer went on to sell for 330ppkg @ 636kgs to Helston butcher,
Chris Dale.

Champion Heifer and Overall Champion was a 14month old British Blue from
GI & R Williams,
Nant Mawr, Llangernyw, weighing 500 kilos at 375p was purchased by the judge.

On 27 July, Rugby Farmers Mart
held their sale of Prime Cattle, with 73 forward averaging 165p/kg.
Competition was rife for the better sorts with husband and wife team Brian
and Angela Tarry-Smith competing for top price. Angela won with her Blue
cross steer weighing 672 kg’s at 209
p/kg and £1,404.48 the highest price steer for a non-show day.
Husband Brian showed a smart Blue heifer at 205 p/kg at 521kgs.
Handy-weight heifers sold well with other Blue cross’s at 195 p/kg,
190 p/kg and 189 p/kg

The Special Catalogued Monthly Sale of 198 Sucklers, on Saturday 9th July
2011, included a special entry of Pedigree British Blues from the Kernow

All Records Broken In Cull Cow Section at Brecon Market
A British Blue cow from Mr M & M Hughes of Penrhyn Farm broke all records
both regionally and Nationally on Friday 24th June by making £2020
and 240.5p/kg while another cows from the same holding weighed 745kg and
