Carlisle British Blue calf reaches £710

On Wednesday 7th July 2010 Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their weekly sale of calves.
A larger show of 406 calves were forward, the quality was poorer but the trade remained buoyant, with all classes dearer on the week. An outstanding top price of £710 was achieved for a naturally born British Blue bull calf from M/s Riley of Underhelme Farm, Grassmere this calf beat Mr Riley’s previous record of £700 for another British Blue two years ago. Purchaser of the calf was M/s Jones of Belper, Derbyshire.
