Norbreck Genetics Press Release
8th March 2011

NorbreckThe UK economy is benefiting from a strong export market due in part to the weakness of Sterling on the world currency markets. Agriculture is certainly no exception and pedigree Beef breeders are seeing strong overseas interest for live cattle, embryos and semen.

Norbreck Genetics is no exception and recently loaded two pedigree British Blue heifers for export to County Clare in Ireland. We have developed very strong business links in Ireland following several visits including a trade stand at the Irish Ploughing Championships over recent years. A large number of embryos have been exported in the last two years along with semen from Bluegrass Cyclone and Dragon Blues Champ.

Norbreck Eye Spy is a Bringlee Volkawagon daughter from a Tamhorn Sumo daughter

Norbreck Florida is a Empire D'Ochain daughter bred from Henlli Wynette

Norbreck"Both heifers represent all that we aim to acheive here at Norbreck with our British Blues, they are functionally correct, have great height and width while also exhibiting the feminity we expect to see in the females" stated Philip Halhead (MD Norbreck Genetics)

"We are pleased to send these heifers at this time because we aim to expand our export opportunities into many more countries during 2011 / 2012 and would encourage fellow breeders to look outside of the UK for future sales. The Belgian Blue breeding companies in particular are looking hard at the wealth of genetics UK breeders can offer 'back' into the Belgium market. Mr Benoit Cassart from Fabroca is visiting the UK in late March 2011 to see potential new sires first hand" commented Philip.
