The Northern Ireland Blue Cattle Clubs’ autumn show & sale, at Moira Sales Arena, met with an excellent trade, on Saturday 5th November 2011, with a 99% clearance. [report] James and Gloria Annett, Snowy Ridge, Kilkeel, Co Down won the 2011 Closamectin British Blue Northern Ireland Herd of the Year competition with Mel and Diane Lucas, Antrim, taking the Reserve Championship with their Lukeroyal Herd. [report] The Pedigree Sales Arena at Moira, Co Down, Northern Ireland was alive with keen interest on Saturday morning, the 27th March 2010; the number of ‘ROI plates!’ in the car park that morning boded well for the interest from the Republic in British Blue genetics at the Northern Ireland Blue Cattle Club’s spring export sale. This optimism proved to have sound foundation with 34 of a consignment of 44 Pedigree ‘Blues’ (77%) being exported! [report] There was tremendous interest in the Northern Ireland Blue Cattle Clubs’ inaugural show & sale at the Moira Sales Arena on 24th October 2009, where there was a near full clearance, with over two thirds of the purchases, finding homes in the Republic. [report] There was a tremendous buzz at Dungannon Farmers Mart, on 28th March 2009, for the largest number of British Blues ever presented for sale by the Northern Ireland Blue Cattle Club. [report] There was a lively trade for power and style at Dungannon on 25th October 2008 with a full clearout of bulls and the centre record being smashed at 7,300gns. [report] A packed ring, bursting with keen interest, saw the commencement of the Northern Ireland Blue Cattle Club, spring show and sale at Dungannon Farmers Mart on 29th March 2008. [report] There was a real buzz around the sale ring, at the start of the 2007 Autumn Northern Ireland Club sale of British Blues on 27th October 2007. [report] Pre-sale interest around the pens at the Northern Ireland Club’s spring sale of Belgian Blues at Dungannon on 31st March 2007 was keen, with many prospective buyers busily marking up their catalogues. [report] The ring was packed as Auctioneer, Trevor Wyllie, opened the autumn consignment of pedigree British Belgian Blue cattle, at Dungannon Farmers Mart, on 28th October 2006. [report] Pre-sale interest around the pens at the Northern Ireland Club’s spring sale of Belgian Blues at Dungannon on 1st April 2006 was keen. [report] Buyers were cautious and selective at the Northern Ireland Belgian Blue Clubs’ Autum Annual Show and Sale held at Dungannon on 29th October 2005, with quality being sought after. [report] Demand for quality was the order of the day at the Spring sale of Belgian Blues at Dungannon on 2nd April 2005. [report] Keen bidding was order of the day at the autumn sale of Belgian Blues, held at Dungannon Farmers Mart, on 30th October 2004. [report] Strong demand, with quality stock being highly sought after, was the order of the day, when the Spring consignment of Belgian Blues came under the hammer, at Dungannon on 3rd April 2004. [report] There was a tremendous show of quality British Belgian Blue cattle, at the annual, autumn show & sale, held at Dungannon Farmers Mart on 8th November 2003. [report] Dungannon Farmers Mart opened the Spring sale of Belgian Blues organised by the Northern Ireland Blue Cattle Club on 22nd March 2003. [report] It was standing room only at the Portadown Belgian Blue Show & Sale on 23rd November 2000, as the power of the double muscle drew the biggest crown this season to the Automart venue. [report] ShowsNewry Show 2010 [photos] Northern Ireland Blue Cattle Club Calf Show 2009 [results] The Castlewellan Show, in Northern Ireland, held on Saturday 18th July 2009, provided a fantastic turnout of British Blues, both in numbers and superb quality, with some 72 cattle forward. [report] North Antrim Show 2009 [results] Corrina and Ivan Gordon swept the boards at the Norbreck British Blue NI Calf Competition at Moira on Saturday 16th August 2008. [report] Ballymoney Show 2008 [report] Blue Cattle Dominate Castlewellan Show 2008 [report] Woodview Britney, bred & exhibited by Andrew Craig took the Supreme British Blue Championship at the 2008 Royal Ulster Show on Wednesday 14th May. [report] Supreme Champion at the Royal Ulster Show 2007 was owned by Zara Chestnutt, Clougher Farm, Bushmills. [report] Moving the Northern Ireland Blue Cattle Club calf show and young handlers competition to Moira Sales Arena on Saturday, August 12, 2006 proved highly successful. [report] Supreme Champion at the Royal Ulster Show 2006 was Reinbeck Opticia owned by Zara Chestnutt, Clougher Farm, Bushmills. [report] Woodview Sue was Supreme Champion at the Royal Ulster Show 2005. [report] The Supreme Champion and Male Champion Belgian Blue was Woodview United at the 2004 Royal Ulster Show. [report]
